If you are that type of individual, we are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. This position will report into the Director of Program Management.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing key projects at AimLock, including the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. Our Project Manager will oversee all aspects of projects and proactively and reactively assess and communicate risk. Additionally, our Project Manager is required to advise management on pending deadlines, resource prioritization, and monitor and summarize project progress.  

Our Project Manager will analyze project plans and participate in engineering planning sessions to optimize the allocation of resources and apply them appropriately to meet pre-defined objectives. The Project Manager also designs the project goals and success markers and determines how success will be measured and tracked, ensuring the project remains on time and on budget, helping motivate team members to hit their goals. In the event a project cannot meet expectations, the Project Manager is expected to analyze alternatives and suggest courses of action that would result in customer and company success via alternative means.

Our Project Manager works directly with the Director of Program Management and other department Managers to ensure deliverables are on track to fall within the applicable scope and budget, coordinating with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. This role requires familiarity with a variety of AimLock's technologies, practices, and procedures. Our Project Manager relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and will be expected to complete a variety of tasks autonomously. The Project Manager will prepare briefings and deliver options to management for decision both electronically and in person, and will take ownership of accomplishing new and varying requests. Our Project Manager will be expected to explore opportunities to add value via risk mitigation, additional revenue, increased efficiency, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

  • Ensure resource availability (personnel, materials, subcontractors, etc.) and allocation.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors as required for project execution.

  • Assist in the definition of project scope, objectives, and customer requirements, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate change management techniques.

  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Report and escalate to management as needed.

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.

  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.

  • Attend training as required to maintain proficiency.

  • Required travel 10% of the time, or less.

  • Other responsibilities as directed and assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.

  • More than three (3) years of experience in Project Management.

  • Exceptional teamwork, advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High standards of, and ability to maintain, strict confidentiality as appropriate.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and a high level of customer service.

  • Must show flexibility, adaptability and positivity when responding to changes in work volume or priorities.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.

  • Ability to pass and maintain a clear background check and drug screening.

  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain US security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering Management, or equivalent.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Familiarity with Agile best practices.

  • Proficient in JIRA or equivalent.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 75% of the time.
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access equipment and office machinery.
  • Must have the ability to move, transport, position and/or remove up 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to position oneself to move in a manner required to perform the daily work associated with this role.
  • Must be able to operate standard office productivity machinery and equipment including a phone, computer, mouse and keyboard, photocopy machine, scanner and e-fax.
  • Daily work environment and noise level is that of a standard office.
  • Occasionally you may experience, or be in the vicinity of, outdoor weather conditions at our Ranch location, although basic shelter from the elements is provided it is not constant, based on the scope of tasks being performed.
  • Occasionally you may experience, or be in the vicinity of, a noise level consistent with a warehouse work environment.
