We are currently seeking a System Engineer to join our growing team. The System Engineer will be part engineer and part project manager overseeing the development of a system that addresses our Customer’s defined needs. AimLock System Engineers provide technical direction and clarification of requirements to both hardware/software development teams and test personnel. They perform system engineering analyses including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. development and interfaces with both internal and exterior customer personnel. They are responsible to attend technical interchange meetings with other program personnel and support the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her project(s). The candidate will provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required. The candidate will analyze project plans and technical direction in engineering planning sessions to help optimize design and steer the project teams towards success. Since the System Engineer provides technical direction in the way of requirements, he/she will work closely with project manager to design the project goals and success markers. In the event a project cannot meet expectations, the System Engineer is expected to analyze alternatives and suggest courses of action that would result in Customer satisfaction via alternative means. The System Engineer will work directly with the Director of Program Management and Director of Engineering to ensure deliverables are on track to fall within the applicable scope and budget, coordinating with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. This role requires familiarity with a variety of AimLock's technologies, practices, and procedures. The Systems Engineer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and will be expected to complete a variety of tasks autonomously. System Engineer will prepare briefings and deliver options to management for decision both electronically and in person and will take ownership of accomplishing new and varying requests.
